OUR STORY

Padstow

IT ALL STARTED

IN THE SUMMER OF 1994

when Bridie and her mum set up shop in the streets of sunny Weymouth in Dorset. between the freedom of working outside and for themselves, it didn't take long for Bridie and her mum to fall in love with the lifestyle that braiding gave them, click here for pictures over the last 20+ years.

ONE DAY

AFTER BRAIDING IN PADSTOW, CORNWALL

they across an idea to turn braiding into a more permanent business, something with a more regular location so they could build a business from there. Finally after trialling some locations the pitch in beautiful Lyme Regis was born! Now 15 years on the stall is a beach favourite in the town and in 2020 the business went online and that's when the fun really began...

BACK IN POUNDBURY, DORSET

BRIDIE AND HER MUM

put the ideals together to create kits to teach others how to hair braid, and braid friendship bracelets in their unique style. Within just a few months, the kits were launched and debuted on shopping TV with great success, selling out multiple times. Then it hit them: our kits are more than simple 'learn something new kits'. They were part of connecting people during the global pandemic, turning making into memories and re connecting circles of friends and families. Our kits are a lifestyle of sorts, it's all about slowing down, connecting with loved ones and living life to the fullest.

AT THE BRAIDING CIRCLE

GIVING BACK IS THE HEART

of what we do, which is why we also created out Charity Collection. This year we have partnered with 'The Refuge - For Women and Children Against Domestic Violence'. We have created kits in their charity colours to help raise awareness of the issues and are donating a % from each sale to the charity. We are always striving to do more and looking for ways to give back more, so please do get in touch with any ideas, we would love to hear from you.
